The Four (4) Agreements

“Hard doesn't mean impossible.” Where God is trying to take you will require growth. Growth isn’t easy. It requires some discomfort and stretching to become the next version of you. But that doesn’t mean you can’t endure it. We don’t always see immediate results when we’re on our growth journey. It took Joshua and the Israelites six days of marching in silence before the seventh day of shouting for the wall between them and the Promise Land to come down. Be encouraged that your obedience isn’t going unseen when no one is looking. “Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.” (Galatians 6:9) Your “proper time” is coming. Your breakthrough is on the other side of your perseverance.

The Four (4) Agreements:

Agreement 1: Be Impeccable with Your Word

Word Is Bond, especially with thyself! Never ever betray your word or talk down on yourself.

  • Speak with Integrity.

  • Say only what you mean.

Agreement 2: Don't Take Anything Personally

Note Even The Nicest Things, People Say Things Sometimes and Don't Even Mean It.

  • Stay focused on who you know you are and not what someone or everyone thinks of you.

  • Nothing others do is because of you because what others say is a reflection of them.

Agreement 3: Never Make Assumptions

Well, What are the first letters of ASSUMPTIONS? 🤨.

Be clear... I know it’s hard when you’re an intuitive soul, but:

  • Ask questions, be open if you need understanding.

  • No one on this earth is a mind reader. Find the courage to ask questions and learn to communicate well with others.

Agreement 4: Always Do Your Best

Every day is an opportunity to be and do your BEST. A world-class sprinter, Olympian, my coach once told me: You won’t get this workout back, this moment, or this day back... make it count! 💪🏾

  • Be what you can, never self-judge.

  • Let go of self-abuse and go on to being your best self!

In The Four Agreements, the bestselling author Don Miguel Ruiz reveals the source of self-limiting beliefs that rob us of joy and create needless suffering. Based on ancient Toltec wisdom, The Four Agreements offer a powerful code of conduct that can rapidly transform our lives into a new experience of freedom, true happiness, and love.
